Do you like road trips? Bundling the family or friends into a car and then going off to some place or maybe just on a long drive and then back home. Road trips can be a very good way of bonding with others.
The beauty of a road trip is that it can be tailored to fit your personal preferences, budget, and time constraints. It’s a chance to break free from routine and experience a sense of freedom and spontaneity that can be hard to find in daily life.
One added bonus is that you get to explore different places. You can make a small stop at different locations on the way to your destination. This makes road trips so much fun.
While air travel is efficient, it doesn’t allow for the same level of exploration or flexibility as a road trip. With a car, you can take detours, stop at roadside attractions, and experience the local culture in a way that is not possible when flying over it.
My family and I definitely love road trips. Back when we lived in Gujarat, our weekends always consisted of long drives and getaways. There are so many places to see and so much food to enjoy that our weekends were always fun.
Our first long road trip was from Vadodara to Somnath and then the next day from Somnath to Dwarka and then back to Vadodara. It was a three day trip and the scenery along the way had us spellbound.
It is my most memorable holiday because of all the places we saw and fun we had. This is one route I always recommend everyone to take. Plan a trip from Somanth to Dwarka by road. It has some of the best roads and an awesome beach near Porbandar. You will love it.

Some time after that we travelled from Gujarat to Bihar which took us approximately two full days to complete. Journeying with a two-year-old in a car seemed daunting at first but once we started it was all good.
My Little Miss enjoys car trips so she has never made a fuss about being in the car for long. We at least take one road trip every year and we make sure to plan properly and keep enough snacks to keep us munching all through.

One response to “Road Trips”
It’s been a while since I went on a roadtrip. The last one was with friends and it had been a novel experience 🙂
