Cecilia Ahern is an Irish author who is now published in over fifty countries. Her first novel, P.S. I Love You has garnered worldwide acclaim and has also been adapted into a movie.
Her books are mostly a poignant mix of romance and magic. Her storytelling is captivating and fairly easy to read and fall inย love with. Here are some of her works that I like.
- P.S. I Love You
Her first book, which she published when she was just 21, tells the story of Holly Kennedy, a young widow who is lost in the grief of losing her husband when she starts receiving letters from him. The letters guide her through various tasks that she has to undertake without him. The novel is a heartwarming narrative.
Finding someone you love and who loves you back is a wonderful, wonderful feeling. But finding a true soul mate is an even better feeling. A soul mate is someone who understands you like no other, loves you like no other, will be there for you forever, no matter what. They say that nothing lasts forever, but I am a firm believer in the fact that for some, love lives on even after we’re gone.
P.S. I Love You

- A Place Called Here
This novel is about Sandy Shortt who is obsessed with finding lost things and people. While working on a missing person’s case she finds herself missing as she ends up at a place called Here, where everything that is lost ends up.
- Thanks for the Memories
After a major accident requiring blood transfusion, Joyce seems to have memories that are not hers, she remembers places she has never been to. So she sets out to find the face she keeps seeing in her thoughts and to find some answers for this inexplicable deja-vu.
We all get lost once in a while, sometimes by choice, sometimes due to forces beyond our control. When we learn what it is our soul needs to learn, the path presents itself. Sometimes we see the way out but wander further and deeper despite ourselves; the fear, the anger or the sadness preventing us returning. Sometimes we prefer to be lost and wandering, sometimes it’s easier. Sometimes we find our own way out. But regardless, always, we are found.
