The week, those seven days that have never changed. When we were little, it was the school that governed our weeks. Now, it’s our or our family’s school and offices that govern the week. Let’s look at the seven days, each with its own quirky personality, like the seven dwarfs of your calendar.

  • Monday: The Villain

Monday is like the big, bad wolf of the week. It’s the day that huffs and puffs and blows your weekend away. You start the week with good intentions and strong caffeine, only to be quickly reminded that the world has too many demands. Monday is basically the office’s version of a surprise quiz—nobody’s ready, but everyone’s got to face it.

  • Tuesday: The Overachiever

Tuesday is that kid in school who’s already done the homework, reminds the teacher about it and has also completed that art activity which you quite blissfully forgot about until it was too late. It’s not as brutal as Monday but it is not that easy. Tuesday comes with many to-dos and reminders and meetings.

  • Wednesday: The Midweek Crisis

Wednesday is like the awkward phase of adolescence—caught between the excitement of Monday’s promise and the distant hope of Friday. It’s the day you realize you’re halfway to the weekend, but also halfway through an endless tunnel of work. It’s a bittersweet reminder that your escape is in sight but not quite within reach.

  • Thursday: The Hopeful

Thursday is a day when the hope of a happy  weekend starts. You still have a lot of work that you run about trying to finish before the happy Friday comes. The weekend is in sight and no one can blame you for daydreaming about Friday.

  • Friday: The Star

Friday is the crown jewel of the week. It’s like your favorite TV show’s season finale—everyone’s pumped, and the anticipation is through the roof. You feel like a champion for making it through another week. It’s the day that brings with it the promise of holidays and next working day is “next week”.

  • Saturday: The Rebel

Saturday is the day when all rules are suspended. It’s the time to sleep in, binge-watch, and throw your to-do list out the window. It’s the wildcard, full of potential and adventure, or just a chance to nap guilt-free. Saturdays are meant for late nights and happy vibes because tomorrow is SUND(Y)AY!

And for those who work on Saturdays too, well, what can I say. You have been specially chosen for the grind called life!

  • Sunday: The Realization

Sunday is the quiet, contemplative day where reality hits. It’s like the calm before the storm—serene yet somewhat melancholic. It’s the day for brunch, errands, and the inevitable anxiety about Monday’s impending arrival. It’s when you realize that, despite your best efforts, you still have to go back to the grind.

What a creative and funny take on the days of the week.
I did something similar through a poem. I’ll share the link if you’d like to read it :)
