One of the many New Year resolutions I have made for 2022 is reading non-fiction. My focus has always been reading fiction because fiction takes me to a different life, a different world where I can be whoever I want to be, wherever I wish to be. The imaginary world appeals to my imagination and so I find myself around fantasy and fiction. To diversify my reading habits I am planning to read some non-fiction and self-help books this year. After all, real world is important too.
As part of this resolution, my first book was The Universe has Your Back: Transform Fear to Faith by Gabrielle Bernstein. In this book, the author Gabrielle Bernstein talks about transforming fear into faith and trusting the Universe for support and showing the right path.
Gabrielle gives many examples where fear has acted as a hurdle and just a little shift from fear to trust in the Universe has shown change for the better. She talks about the fear that holds us back and how we need to let the Universe take charge of our lives. She also talks of love and acceptance of all we have.
There are meditation practices recommended throughout the book and a constant reminder that faith will heal and help us achieve our desires. A happy mind leads to a happy life – this is the mantra Gabrielle teaches.
I, personally found this book quite interesting and helpful. At times I too find my mind too full and bowed down and this book has made me try to release my thoughts and trust Universe that all will be good. A few examples are a little superfluous but on the whole this is a feel-good book and quite frankly if it helps me stay calm and happy then why not. I was recommended this book by a friend and I too will recommend this to others.
