One by Mansoor Khan is a book about compromising the environment for one’s personal gain. The story is simple yet powerful.
Two strangers meet at a park and start their own little project of showing how ecological balance can be achieved. Both are said to be mentally ill and Sonal has even been subjected to electric shocks which has affected her memory.
Abhay, a celebrated genetic engineer is now hiding from the authorities because he dared to question the base and ultimate effects of the scientific progress they are making.
They don’t know each other’s names and yet form a bond. He shares his notes on ecological imbalance and the ways to gain that balance back and that resonates with her deeply. They come together to bring back that balance, even if it’s on a small scale but is the world really ready to hear and understand them?
Mansoor Khan has penned an interesting book, just like his movies. This book is a must read for all and also something to ponder over. It shows the cost we are paying for the advancements and is it really worth it? Will the ecosystem be able to sustain all this for too long?
