Book Review: All Roads Lead Here

I love magic. In real life and in books, I keep looking for magic both literal and figurative. So when I got the chance to read All Roads Lead Here, I jumped with joy (not literally though because jumping in the gym is already too much for me).

Suchita Agarwal’s book revolves around Parth, Saurabh, Faizal and Manvi all of whom can influence elements as per their will. The teenagers are all studying in the same class and have a friendship and a bittersweet rivalry too.

Parth has a secret that can affect all his relationships and his future and it affects his present relationship with Faizal. There are events in his past that can affect all around him.

He lives with his chacha and chachi and though they love him like their own son, he feels resentful towards his parents for abandoning him.

Faizal is Parth’s best friend and boyfriend but their relationship hits the rocks because of the secrets between them. Faizal is extremely ambitious and wants to win the best student award at any cost.

Manvi and Saurabh are best friends. Manvi is a fierce, outspoken girl whereas Saurabh likes to spend most of his free time in the library reading books.

As the story progresses, Parth and Saurabh realise that a strange bond exists between them which they can neither explain nor resist.

The story is well paced, the writing is crisp. You will be a hundred pages down before you know it and that in my opinion is what makes for a very interesting book.

The characters are well written and each character is pivotal to the story. The teenage pangs, lovers quarrels, heart breaks and joys of first kisses make for some sweet moments between the life altering problems that the friends face.

This is a very well written story that in enjoyed reading and highly recommend this.

My rating: 4.2/5
