The other day while looking for something, I found Little Miss’s doll lying under the bed. The doll, who I call Dolly, once a pristine cream colour doll with blue dress and blue cap looked so dirty I straightaway had to give her a good hot bath and dry her in the sun.
Dolly is a very cute doll and while I set her back on the bedroom sofa where she was supposed to be, I imagined myself taking interview of the doll who has seen so much in our home.
Me: Thank you for joining me. How are you today?
Dolly: Well, now that I’m out from under the bed and cleaned, I feel better.
Me: I am glad to hear that. So, as a long time resident of this household how do you rate me this year?
Dolly: You seem to be doing almost fine but of course you forgot me under the bed for so many days that I can’t say you have been perfect.
Me: Fair point. I apologise for that. What is your favourite memory of being with Little Miss?
Dolly: Every time she forgets about me and lets me be.
Me: Hmmm. And the worst?
Dolly: When she used to take me by the leg and walk around the house with me dangling upside down.
Me: Yeah, that sounds rough.
Dolly: But I love it when she lays me next to her or looks at me with so much love. Little Miss is my best friend.
Me: That’s so sweet. Final question, do you have any advice for me?
Dolly: Just tackle that laundry before it drowns us all.
Me: You didn’t have to mention that. I’ll get to it when I can.
This concludes our interview. Thank you for giving me your time. Now you can relax until Little Miss finds you again. Bye.

So you see, even dolls have things to say. But hopefully, they won’t turn into Annabelle to explain their point!
