“Small daily improvements over time lead to stunning results.” – Robin Sharma

Every day brings with it something different for us. Some days we see Little Miss accomplish something new; on other days she struggles with things she has already done. Almost each day brings with it a new experience for us.

All through last week, Little Miss was reluctantly waking up in the morning. She is not a morning person, just like her mom. Having said that, there are also days when she wakes up at 6 in the morning, specially when it’s a holiday. Wonder where she gets that from!

She is bonding well with her teachers which is so heartening to see and she was also seen exchanging toys with another kid so that’s a positive start.

Teaching children with special needs is both a profound responsibility and a uniquely rewarding experience. These children, who may have physical, intellectual, emotional, or developmental differences, require  educational strategies that are tailored for them and respect their individuality and foster their personal growth.

Effective teaching in this context is not just about academics—it’s about unlocking potential, building self-esteem, and preparing students for meaningful participation in the world around them.

There are many aspects we are all trying to work on with Little Miss; like gross motor skills, fine motor skills, daily life skills, sitting tolerance, socialization; and there is no point in hurrying through anything. We are taking one day at a time and see how things go.

KCNQ2 genetic mutation is something we are fighting our way through and we are grateful to have people and teachers in our corner.

This is very true and matters a lot
